Fully automated payments with a PayPal Billing Agreement

đź”— A smoother way to pay with PayPal
MAXER has accepted PayPal since 2008. It’s consistently been one of the most popular ways for customers to pay. Over time,  the way we support PayPal has evolved significantly.
In the early days, it was simple one-off payments. Later came PayPal Subscriptions, which enabled automatic renewals. That was a useful step forward, but subscriptions had limitations: each service needed its own subscription, and clients had little control over how and when payments were processed.
Now there’s a better option: PayPal Billing Agreements are available for all Maxer clients.
With a Billing Agreement, you securely link your PayPal account to your Maxer account once. After that, PayPal can automatically handle payments for your services including: web hosting, domain renewals, new orders and any future invoices. It works just like a saved payment method.
This is now PayPal’s default standard for recurring payments and replaces the older subscription-based system. Invoices are generated as usual, and payments are charged automatically using the card or bank account linked to your PayPal.

Billing Agreements are perfect for anyone who:
- Prefers PayPal for all payments
- Wants automatic charging of renewal invoices
- Doesn’t want to manage individual subscriptions for each service
⚙️ How do I set it up?
You’ll see the option to create a Billing Agreement during checkout when placing a new order or paying an unpaid invoice.
Once setup, you can manage it on the Payment Methods page in your Maxer dashboard, and you’ll have the option to cancel it at any time from that page.

When you set up a Billing Agreement, any existing PayPal Subscriptions will be replaced. PayPal may send you a confirmation email that older subscriptions were cancelled.
